Affinity Promotes John Bannister, Design Desk Specialist

Affinity is pleased to announce the promotion of John Bannister to Design Desk Specialist. In this new position, John will design systems and strategies to improve the security and efficiency of clients’ technology infrastructures.

John came to Affinity after serving as an IT Support Technician with Media Master Tech, and as the founder of Adept Technologies, his own residential IT practice. He holds an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science from Columbia State Community College and is currently working toward a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Management with a concentration in Business Informatics at Lipscomb University.

Outside of work, John teaches piano and guitar lessons. He also enjoys yoga, rock climbing, building computers, science fiction, video games, and spending time with his dog. His love for technology began at a young age. “Much to the dismay of my parents, as a kid I enjoyed taking everything apart: remote controls, alarm clocks, radios . . . ,” says John. “This became less of an issue when I learned how to put them back together. This natural inclination led me down a less destructive path of learning how technology worked . . . and why it sometimes didn’t.”
