Affinity Welcomes Charles Latham, Support Team Lead Engineer, to the Team!

Affinity is excited to announce that Charles Latham has joined our growing team as our Support Team Lead Engineer. In this role, Charles will provide excellent, friendly support to our clients’ end-users and will serve as an escalation point for Affinity staff, ensuring that all issues are addressed quickly and efficiently.  

Charles brings years of valuable technology and managed service provider (MSP) experience to this position. Most recently, he served as an Escalation Specialist for Complete Technology Solutions, an MSP based in Sparta, Illinois. He has also worked as a Desktop Analyst for Primeritus Financial Services and as a Desktop Support Technician for Metro Nashville General Hospital. Charles holds an Associate of Applied Sciences degree in Computer Network Systems from ITT Technical Institute, as well as numerous certifications, including CompTIA A+ CE, N+ CE, and S+ CE, as well as vendor-specific certifications for Microsoft, WatchGuard, Datto, and Webroot.

“Charles brings a level of technical experience and depth that will bolster our already stellar team, allowing us to continually improve the service we are providing our clients,” says Betsy Wright, Affinity’s VP of Operations, “And his genuine, friendly personality will be a huge asset in our mission to delight our clients with an excellent experience.”

Charles developed an interest in technology and helping others use it from an early age. He remembers, when he was growing up, having friends who had computer problems that no one could fix—until he researched and found the solution. That passion is still alive today, both professionally and even outside the office, as Charles enjoys working on server and storage equipment in his spare time. He also enjoys running, hiking, and playing video games. 

“Finding a home at Affinity has made the transition back to the Nashville area complete,” says Charles. “It’s refreshing to find a company culture as welcoming and supportive. It’s obvious from the onset that this isn’t just written policy but written into the DNA of everything the company stands for. I only hope to bolster that mission and deliver the best support experience to each and every one of our clients.”
